How many people eulogize their life prior to their death?

Someone who lived by his own rules…

Someone who did it his way, with no regrets … cue the Sinatra music…..

Someone who had a unique sense of humor…

If Michael Badnarik had any complaints it was never about his own choices, only about those who complained about theirs.

In his last blog, posted to his website. Michael has the last word about his life and the way he lived it. For those of us who had the privilege of knowing Michael, mere words are inadequate to express all that Michael BadAss Badnarik was.

Michael is the last of a pure breed of authentic, freedom-living and loving, independent thinkers. Many also knew him as also a software engineer, author, teacher, mentor, speaker, firearms trainer, sailor, radio show host, political figure, and storyteller, to mention a few. If the world is a buffet, Michael tasted everything on the menu.

While being a Jack of All Trades, Michael is most known for being the Libertarian nominee for president of the United States in the 2004 elections. He never did make it to the White House that year, most likely because the country was not ready for him. Besides he had bigger things to do, and several more books to write. As the author of four books, Michael knew about words and their meanings. If you disagreed with Michael, you just had to agree to disagree.

Michael stated in a July 26 blog, a few weeks before his death:

Please do not mourn my death. Instead, celebrate the wonderful life I lived. If you are going to remember me, please remember me as a man of honor and integrity.

The best way to describe Micheal is not to describe him at all. How do you describe a free spirit?

You let the spirit speak for himself, in his own voice, and in his own words, as he would prefer it.

So, I am sharing two Nature of Healing podcast interviews with Michael Badnarik that I had the pleasure of producing a few years ago.  You can find many other interviews he gave with others by doing a quick search of the internet. His unique voice will, no doubt, live on.
