What happens when medical testing and interventions enter the schools? Are bureaucrats and school superintendents practicing medicine without a license? Who is collecting DNA? Where is it going? For what purpose?
NY Teachers For Choice
NYC public school teacher and founder of NY Teachers for Choice, Michael Kane, has been outspoken on new medical mandates such as COVID testing being forced upon public school youth, teachers, and professionals. If teachers refuse COVID testing, they will be placed on unpaid leave.
On his website, NYTeachersforChoice, Michael shares his blog, “Is NYC Stealing Teacher and Student DNA? Michael requested answers from local leaders and State officials including United Federation of Teachers Union President Michael Mulgrew, City Mayor Bill De Blasio, and others. Their responses?
The harvesting of DNA by state government is a blatant invasion of bodily privacy. The mandatory COVID testing (i.e., swabs for DNA harvesting) is taken by “a trained individual” and not by a doctor or nurse. Why is there no reasonable accommodation made for such testing outside of schools for those who want some privacy?
While every teacher who wants to get the coming COVID vaccine should have easy and quick access to it, do we really want our unions or governments forcing medical procedures upon us to keep our jobs?
Why is this happening in the NYC public schools when over 50 percent of all students are fully remote because they opted out of the hybrid model (attending in person school 2-3 days a week)? Is NYC a beta test of the full U.S. population? Who is collecting the swabs?
NYC has contracted with the private company, Fulgent Genetics, for testing. Fulgent Genetics owns a proprietary library of genetic information. Michael asks the obvious question of officials: does the company have the right to catalogue student and adult DNA that is provided to them? Michael has filed a complaint with public advocate Jumaane Williams. What could Fulgent Genetics do with DNA 5-10-20 years down the road? Will it be sold? What will it be worth?
As of October, 2020, Fulgent Genetics, Inc. company shares have gained +259.77% over the last six months, with this year growth rate of 557.89%, compared to 2.8% for the industry. Insiders own 58% of shares. An estimated revenue figure of $58.49 Million for the next quarter is predicted by December 01, 2020.
In a recent interview with Jason Goodman, Michael Kane questioned current mandates that will lead to compulsory vaccination. Ironically, these mandates are promoted through the unions. The head of the American Federation of Teachers, Randi Weingarten, wants to force vaccinate “in person” teachers, suggesting that she would not be required to participate, herself. Her close relationship with the Gates Foundation is a blatant conflict of interest. Further, such an experiment on the human population, without data, violates the Nuremberg Code which calls for informed consent on any patient or subject involved in any procedure or test.
Six months before the COVID crisis, Michael started a petition called NY Teachers Against Vaccine Mandates for Educators based on what he was seeing introduced in Albany, the state’s capital. At that time, no one knew what vaccines might be mandated. Now everyone knows. The coming experimental Moderna COVID vaccine is an mRNA vaccine, which has not been tested on mammals and has never been widely distributed among humans.
Anyone can sign the petition: teachers, nurses, sanitation workers, food workers, union members, police officers, firemen, “because they are going to come after everybody,” says Michael. See Michael’s Top Ten Reasons Why A COVID Vaccine Should Not Be Mandatory.
Will legislation be introduced to mandate COVID vaccine in the schools linked to school funding?
History of School-located Vaccination
If invasive medical procedures can happen in NYC public schools by private companies, they can happen anywhere.
School-located vaccination (SLV) has a long history in the United States. In 1875, New York City schools delivered the small pox vaccine. In the 1950s, schools delivered the Salk polio vaccine. In the 1990s, schools conducted catch-up clinics for the Hep B vaccine. In 2009, schools injected the H1N1 vaccines. In 2012-13, an SLV project in rural Kentucky deployed the HPV vaccine, all to improve vaccination rates.
According to Goal #4 of the 2015-16 National Vaccine Plan, Health care providers must continue to improve access to and acceptance of vaccination providers in nontraditional healthcare settings. School-located vaccination (SLV) can augment other emerging alternative vaccination sites
School nurses are trusted professionals within the school and community settings and can play a pivotal role in the success of SLV. They are ideally placed to identify students who have missed vaccines.
This narrative is repeated in studies published by the American Academy of Pediatrics, a group claiming to be dedicated to the health of all children. Their 2017 study suggests that “SLV is key for adolescents who have significantly lower rates of vaccination due to lower rates of office-based visits.”
Just because registered providers claim they can deploy biologics through a needle without parental permission, does not make it right. Just because the Nurses Association claims that “School nurses are well-versed in the importance of deterring and eradicating vaccine preventable diseases and the issues that are unique to their school community” does not qualify them to replace parents to decide what is best for children.
The Journal of School Health (Shlay et al., 2015), writes:
The school is an ideal place to reach 52 million children from all cultures, socioeconomic groups, and age groups that attend each day; and the school is conveniently located in a familiar and trusted community environment. SLV also offers a convenient option for parents to have their children receive needed vaccinations without having to arrange for a healthcare provider visit or take off time from work.
See June 2019 article on School-located vaccination here.
The Healthy People 2020 Act plans for schools to “play a key role in the deterrence of vaccine preventable diseases” because high vaccination coverage is “an important public health objective.” SLV provides an important opportunity to immunize youth with limited access to healthcare services in the community at large. In advance of this Act, studies are evaluating whether state laws permit the implementation of standing orders programs (SOPs) to increase uptake of vaccines.
Did you know that dentists in Oregon, and pharmacists in all 50 states, and soon school nurses, can inject your children without your permission? Michael Kane says that such DNA capture of the population could have far reaching implications on all of us. Everyone who has a child in NY schools can take action at this link to NYC leaders.
